  • Widefield School District 3 wants to provide its teachers with the most current, research-based information possible so that all teachers are able to be the instruct in the most efficient and effective ways possible.

    With that in mind, the Teaching and Learning Resource Services (T.L.R.S) is providing print and some online resources to teachers and administrators.

    You will find a list of print and online resources that are available to all staff members.

    There are level abbreviations listed by each journal, so you can determine which which journals will be most helpful to you.
    A = all
    E = elementary
    MS = Middle School
    HS = High School

    If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at - 3077.

    Personalizing the Journal Experience

    The English and Science journals can be downloaded as a PDF.  Because they can be downloaded that way, they can be read by text-to-speech apps.

    For a free app that works on Android and Apple devices, vBookz PDF Voice Reader works well enough.  You can choose between two voices and it has a Dyslexie component that converts text to the Dyslexie font. (This app does have a paid-for version at $4.99.  Download opportunities are good choices: Dropbox, Google.)  The easiest way to move downloaded content to the device is to go to the journal site, download materials, and drag materials to Google Drive folder.  When you are in the app., you can then upload materials to the library from the drive.

    For a paid-for app, Voice Dream Reader works well.  The app costs about $10.00.  This app has many more features than the free version.  Download opportunities are greater with this app. (You can download from Dropbox, Google Drive, Gutenberg, Evernote, etc.)  The easiest way to download content to the device is to go to the journal site, download materials, and drag materials to Google Drive folder.  When you are in the app., you you can then upload materials to the library from the drive.
