Colorado law requires all students attending Colorado schools and licensed child cares to be vaccinated against certain diseases unless a medical or non-medical exemption is filed. Complete the preschool application through Universal Preschool Colorado (UPC)
Parents will hear about preschool program assignments from UPC in four to six weeks.

ParentSquare

Widefield School District 3 uses ParentSquare to send important school and district messages. Families can get updates by email, text, or the ParentSquare app. ParentSquare also lets families message teachers and staff, choose how they get alerts, translate messages, sign up for conferences, fill out forms, volunteer, and add school events to their calendar.

To use ParentSquare, families should make sure their phone number and email address are correct in Infinite Campus. Junior high and high school students can also use StudentSquare to communicate with school staff and coaches.

Bus Routes

WSD3 provides free bus transportation for eligible students. To qualify:

K–5 students must live over 1.5 miles from their home school
6–12 students must live over 2.5 miles
Special education transportation is provided per IEP or 504 plan

Only assigned students may ride a bus. Safe behavior is required at all times.

Waiver/Transfer Students

Students attending a school outside their boundary must arrange their own transportation (District Policy JFBA/JFBB).

Bus Safety Reminders

Be at your stop 5 minutes early
Stay seated and follow the driver’s instructions
No food, glass, or large/unapproved items
Repeat behavior violations may lead to loss of bus privileges

Did you know we have a Student Help Desk? Students and/or families can call 719-391-3285 or email Student-helpdesk@wsd3.org with questions regarding student devices, Remind, Schoology, or other district applications.

Student Devices

Widefield is a one-to-one school district; meaning each student is assigned a device. A one-to-one technology district aims to create a more dynamic and personalized learning environment for students, allowing them to explore, learn, and grow with the support of digital tools and resources. Students are given a device at the beginning of the school year and they are responsible for the care and keeping of their assigned device. The school that the student is enrolled at will send out a device consent form. Below, please find helpful documents regarding student devices:
