For the third year in a row, Discovery High School has been recognized by the Colorado Department of Education for Promising Partnership Practices.
This recognition highlights how schools partner with families and the community for student success. Principal Dr. Wiggins led interviews with all prospective students and families prior to enrollment which allowed school leadership and families to evaluate fit, share goals, and set expectations, followed by a collaborative orientation upon enrollment.
By prioritizing "relationships before paperwork," DHS has significantly boosted family participation, attendance, communication, and overall student success. DHS was also recognized for the Discovery at Night program which allows students to take evening courses.
