Widefield School District 3 (WSD3) is incredibly grateful to announce that our local Knights of Columbus have donated $3,496 to the WSD3 Special Education Department. The funds are used to support community experiences (field trips) for our students in center-based programs.
"This opportunity allows students to apply their classroom learning to experiences for generalization of skills. The funds provide for transportation costs, rental and entrance fees, and other associated costs," said Rachel Lake, Executive Director of Special Education.
The Knights have been dedicated community partners for many years, and their continued support plays a vital role in our mission. This donation will go directly toward enhancing the learning environment for our students.
