Mesa Ridge High School has earned a spot on the College Board’s AP School Honor Roll for the 2024-25 school year! This recognition celebrates their dedication to expanding access to advanced coursework and supporting students on their journey to college success.
In addition to the Honor Roll, Mesa Ridge received the AP Access Award. This distinction honors their commitment to equity, recognizing that they have successfully encouraged a diverse range of students—including low-income and underrepresented groups—to challenge themselves with AP courses. Our District believes that advanced opportunities should reflect our entire student body.
Research shows that students who take AP courses are more likely to attend college and graduate on time. Beyond potential college credit, these classes build:
-
College Readiness: Early exposure to rigorous, university-level work.
-
Academic Confidence: The skills needed to tackle complex challenges.
-
A Success Mindset: A school culture that encourages every student to aim high.
This achievement is the result of a massive team effort. From the teachers who lead these classrooms to the counselors, parents, and students who embrace the challenge—congratulations to everyone involved.
