According to unofficial results from El Paso County, the Widefield School District 3 (WSD3) community approved an $88 million bond and $5.2 million mill levy override in the November 2025 election. The passing of 4A and 4B ballot measures will set the stage for critical repairs and renovations across the district while also ensuring the continuation of student programs and support for staff.

“We are tremendously grateful for the support we have received from our voters and the community at-large for both the bond and mill levy override. Widefield is a special community and we appreciate the partnership from our residents. A special thank you to the Widefield Information Network who helped us share our story,” said Superintendent Aaron Hoffman.

This significant investment will fund critical projects at our schools such as adding air conditioning to seven schools, replacing outdated heating systems, and repairing and renovating older schools. We will also be excited to focus on student and staff safety, increasing teacher and staff pay, and continuing student career and technical education programs.

A Bond Oversight Committee will be formed in 2026 to ensure responsible use of funds, reflecting the district's commitment to transparency and fiscal responsibility. We will be sharing more information on how to get involved on the Bond Oversight Committee at a later date.
