Fifth grader Hayden S. from Widefield Elementary School of the Arts (WESA) is already chasing big dreams both on and off the ice. Hayden has played hockey for s6ix years and is a member of the 10U B Catamounts, whose team recently won the DU Pioneer Classic Presidents Day Tournament with an impressive 5–0 championship victory—their first tournament win in three years—bringing home the banner and trophy. He loves being part of a team, gaining new experiences, and knowing his teammates always have his back. At WESA, Hayden enjoys math, has been playing the trombone since fourth grade, and appreciates the support of his teachers, including his 5th grade teacher, Ms. Harris. With dreams of becoming an NHL player, an author, and making his mom proud, Hayden is a wonderful example of determination, teamwork, and heart in action.
