Widefield School District 3 (WSD3) is helping to feed students and families who may need food assistance. The WSD3 Goodr Grocery Store opened on September 9 with a ribbon cutting.
“We’re excited to provide this opportunity for many of our families here at Widefield School District,” said WSD3 Superintendent Aaron Hoffman.
The free grocery store is made possible through a partnership with the Colorado Community Health Alliance (CCHA) and Goodr.
Families are selected on a referral basis and must have a student enrolled in WSD3. Any staff member in WSD3 can refer a student they think needs food assistance. Our Store Champion will then contact families directly to schedule shopping appointments.
The grocery store is located next to the Security Public Library and will be open from Monday through Wednesday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. by appointment only.
