Dr. Martin (Mike) LaGodna

Science, animal medicine and public health are subjects with which I have had a lifelong interest, extensive education and real world experience.  Professionally, I spent 24 years as an US Army veterinarian and five years as a clinical veterinarian.  After many years of traveling and working in both planned and crisis situations across the world, I wanted to plant roots, integrate into the local community and teach the next generation scientific knowledge and skills critical to their future and the well-being of the planet.  I obtained an Alternative Teaching License for Science Education (7-12) from the Colorado Department of Education and was hired by Widefield School District 3 to teach Science at Watson Junior High.  My wife, who is also teacher, and I enjoy our animals, everything outdoors, and world traveling.
