Degrees and Certifications:
Hello! My name is Mrs. Badeau and I am so excited to be going into my fourth year of teaching special education at King Elementary. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Special Education, and this will be my sixth year teaching special education. I primarily work with our intermediate grades (3-5) in all subject areas (based on individual needs) including math, reading (comprehension and fluency), writing, and even a problem solving skills group called Brainwise. When I am not teaching, I am enjoying all of beautiful Colorado with my husband, dog, friends and family. I am usually outside on a hiking trail, hitting the ski slopes, enjoying a mountain bike ride or even doing some rock climbing. In all of my special education groups I will be using Class Dojo on a daily basis. I also like to tie in Class Dojo to my classroom store as students are able to use their Dojo points to shop. This is also an easy way for me to communicate the student's behavior to the classroom teacher or even communicate with parents. In each of my small groups I will focus on the student’s specific learning needs in order to best support each student individually. I will also teach my students how to track their progress and be me more involved with understanding their individual IEP goals. You may utilize the links below in order to communicate with me and find out what we are learning in my small groups in google classroom. If you do want to be connected to your child’s small group Dojo please contact me. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.
