  • Athletic Training Student Aides (ATSAs)
ATSAs are Mesa Ridge High School students that assist in the Athletic Training Facility (ATF). ATSAs are utilized in the Athletic Training Facility to assist in injury rehabilitation, taping, and practice/gameday preparations. ATSAs do not evaluate injuries, make return to play decisions, make treatment decisions, or decide what rehabilitation exercises athletes are to perform

  • Concussion Documents

The Return to Learn Symptom Wheel gives suggestions that can assist a Student-Athlete return to the classroom after sustaining a concussion. The Student-Athlete should still see the Certified Athletic Trainer each day to determine what accomodations are necessary to assist them with their academics.

The Return to Play Guidelines are criteria that are set my the CDC and National Athletic Training Association to safely return concussed athletes back to their sport safely. The Athletic Trainer should be the only person that is putting the student athlete through their Return to Play activities.
