    Practice Dates:

                The first day of fall practice will be Monday, August 6, 2018.

                The first day of winter practice will be Friday, November 12, 2018.

                The first day of spring practice will be Monday, February 25, 2019.



    Before participating in any sport at the high school, students must have on file in the office.  Please pick up the complete Athletic Packet in the Main office.  The packet contains the following paperwork: 

    1- Emergency Information Card and Consent for Emergency Treatment

    2- Athletic Insurance Waiver

    3- Physical Exam and Athletic Medical History Form

    4- WSD 3 Parent Permission

    5- WSD 3 Athletic Participation & Handbook and Philosophy Statement - Please read the 2018-19 Athletic Handbook - Parent and Student before signing this document.

    Physicals:  Physicals for the 2018-2019 school year MUST be dated after June 1, 2018.


    In order to compete on a high school team, students must:

    • Be enrolled in at least five classes that count toward graduation.
    • Be born after August 1, 1998.
    • Be enrolled in Widefield High School before the first day of classes.
    • Been enrolled in at least five courses the previous semester and failed no more than one for all 10th-12th graders
      All 1st year 9th graders are eligible at the beginning of the school year.

    Participation in extracurricular activities at Widefield High School is a privilege. Athletes are guaranteed only an opportunity to compete for positions on our competitive teams.

    Admission for Athletic games: $3 for adults $2 for students per game. 
    Family Athletic Passes are available.  They may be purchased for $50 from the WHS Business Office.  Passes are good at WHS and Mesa Ridge athletic events only.  Contact 391-3203 for more information
