The vast majority of colleges look at either ACT or SAT scores. Most of you took the SAT's last April as juniors. If you would like to better your scores, October 28th is the only date this year that WHS is a test center for the National ACT.
The registration deadline is September 22nd.
Registration is online at act.org. WHS's School Code is #060299.
The fee is $46.
Photo Upload deadline is October 20th.
If you cannot make this date, there are other test dates and locations. Information can be found on their website at act.org.
If you have other questions please contact Mr. Thiele, Senior Class counselor at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Any Junior interested in taking the PSAT test on Wednesday, October 11th, needs to be signed up and have fully paid for the test by Friday, October 6th. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE PAYMENT DEADLINE SO PLEASE PLAN AHEAD. The cost is $16.00. Students can sign up and make their payment in the counseling center with Mrs. Abeyta.
This is a non-mandatory test, not to be confused with the PSAT 9/10 that sophomores will be taking on another date. This test is the pre-SAT and can be used to access your readiness for the SAT test in April, and while it is a completely optional test, it is a mandatory test for anyone interested in applying for the highly competitive National Merit Scholar scholarship. The test will take place during the school day, during periods 1-4, in a location to be determined.
