Mrs. Schubert

Welcome Parents and Students!

I am so excited to be starting a new year!  I have had the pleasure to be teaching in Widefield School District for my entire career. This is my 7th year teaching 6th grade at Watson, and my 9th year teaching. I received my bachelors degree in elementary education from the University of Northern Colorado. Go BEARS! Later I went back to school and completed my masters in reading from Regis University. I now hold endorsements in English (k-12), English as a second language (ESL k-12) and elementary education.

This year we have expanded our advanced placement classes, and I am thrilled to be teaching both sections of Pre-AP literacy and Pre-AP writing. I am also teaching a standard 6th grade writing as well as 7th grade AVID. This schedule keeps me busy, but I truly am passionate about literacy and AVID!

As far as outside interests I live on a horse farm with my husband and two little boys. We are very lucky to be able to have the space to accommodate horses, dogs and chickens. (Hoping to add goats to the family soon.) I enjoy the chores and benefits of having many animals and wouldn't have it any other way.
