K-12 Registration

If your child is new to Widefield School District, please register online
(Please use a desktop or laptop to complete registration)
Children going from WSD3 preschool at North, Webster, Grand Mountain do not need to re-register for kindergarten.
The student must be 5 years old by October 1st to enroll in Kindergarten. For questions, please view policy JFAA Admission of Pupils Who are Legal Residents of District 3.

Preschool Registration

Complete the preschool application through Universal Preschool Colorado (UPC)
Parents will hear about preschool program assignments from UPC in four to six weeks.

Open Enrollment - School of Choice

School of Choice

Widefield School District 3 (WSD3) welcomes both students from outside our district and those who want to choose a school outside of the neighborhood school to participate in our Choice Enrollment process.

WSD3 has four innovation schools and offers many pathways such as engineering, biomedical, and computer science. Explore programs!
WSD3 offers Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, some of which offer college credit and industry certifications. Learn more about the CTE programs!
WSD3 also has a K-12 virtual school with blended learning options to meet your child's need. Check out The Haven School!
WSD3 provides free transportation to and from school, as well as bus rides to and from sports and activity events.

Who needs to apply?

Students who wish to attend a WSD3 school that is different than the one assigned to your address
Students that live outside of WSD3 boundaries
Current choice students who are transitioning from elementary to middle school, or from middle to high school

Facts about open enrollment

Open enrollment ends the last day in February
Boundary waivers must be turned in to the school of choice
School principals approve all boundary waivers based on availability

Boundary Waiver

To enroll your student in a different school outside their assigned area, complete a Boundary Waiver Form and submit it with the required documents to your chosen school. You can pick up a boundary waiver form at any school or download and print the form. Be sure to return the form to your school of choice.
