Program Overview

  • We believe that all teachers must provide explicit instruction that gives EL students opportunities to practice and produce academic language; and
  • When provided appropriate scaffolding, Els can participate fully in rigorous learning and achieve at high academic levels; and
  • We must ensure that culturally and linguistically diverse students have equitable access to grade level standards and a well-rounded education.

Services will be provided in one of the following ways:

  • Push-in Model
  • Pull-Out Model
  • Intervention Class
  • Sheltered English Language Arts Class
  • English Language Acquisition Class
  • EL Study Hall
