English Language Learners (ELL)
Program Overview
- We believe that all teachers must provide explicit instruction that gives EL students opportunities to practice and produce academic language; and
- When provided appropriate scaffolding, Els can participate fully in rigorous learning and achieve at high academic levels; and
- We must ensure that culturally and linguistically diverse students have equitable access to grade level standards and a well-rounded education.
Services will be provided in one of the following ways:
- Push-in Model
- Pull-Out Model
- Intervention Class
- Sheltered English Language Arts Class
- English Language Acquisition Class
- EL Study Hall
