A Welcome Note from Ms. Rodriquez
Here at TSIS we call the building that contains the Library and Computer Lab the 21st Century Building!
Libraries all over the place are integrating more technology and Talbott is making it so that Library and Technology learning go hand in hand together to better prepare our students for the future without letting go of important fudamentals of the past.
This year in the computer lab one of our main focuses will be coding with Code.org as well as looking into other sites like Codecademy and Tinker.
For Typing, one fantastic website we've used in the past for older students is Typing Club, but for quick focused lessons you can also try out Typing.com. Our little ones KG & 1st grade use Dance Mat Typing to help them learn proper placement of their fingers on the keyboard.
I'm looking forward to a great year of learning with your students!

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."
